Job Description:
To our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team covering Europe and Africa region, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated EU Industry 4.0 Project Engineer. The Project Engineer will support the execution of Industry 4.0 projects aimed at introducing intelligent automation into EU & Africa JIT and Structures Plants, as part of the EU I4.0 strategy. Working as part of the Integration Team, responsibilities include managing and delivering key aspects of each project, reporting to Project and Plant Management, communicating with Suppliers, supporting the creation of Business cases with Plant teams, providing feedback on lessons learned, and refining standard solutions.
Scope of duties:
* Support the I4.0 Execution/Integration
* Assist in creating clear business cases or operational needs for each project
* Ensure adherence to all standards or issue signed deviations
* Support forecasting of project spend profiles
* Create RFQs/Sourcing Events in the purchasing system, ensuring compliance with Lear Standards and lessons learned
* Manage project timing and suppliers proactively
* Track all I4.0 project savings and generate reports as required
* Ensure flawless project launches with zero customer impact
* Utilize Project Management standards for AME and Industry 4.0 projects
* Contribute to the Industry 4.0 Playbook aligned with Corporate I4.0 direction
* Support development of Equipment, Automation, Controls, and Process Standards based on lessons learned
* Involve Plant stakeholders actively in projects
* Provide effective training for key stakeholders in the Plant
* Ensure all documentation is accurate and understood by Plant stakeholders
Your Profile:
* Degree in a Technical Field
* Experience in Industry 4.0 projects within manufacturing companies
* Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
* Fluent in English
* Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 50%
* Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and strategic approach
* Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting at all levels
* Proficient in MS Office
