Data Centre Supervisor

Working Pattern: Monday – Friday (with out-of-hours cover as required)
An established data centre operator is seeking a Data Centre Supervisor to support the safe, resilient and efficient operation of a mission-critical facility supporting high-profile customers. This is a hands-on engineering leadership role, ideal for someone who understands what "best in class" operational delivery really looks like.
Reporting into the Data Centre Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, third-party service providers, and operational processes, with a clear focus on uptime, safety, and service excellence.
The Role
Support overall responsibility for the site's critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure, from both a preventative and reactive maintenance perspective
Act as a key point of contact for customers during day-to-day operations and incident escalation
Oversee and challenge third-party maintenance providers, ensuring PPMs, reactive works and service repairs are completed to standard and on time
Monitor and respond to BMS and critical alarms, supporting diagnostics, escalation and root cause analysis
Review, develop and improve SOPs, MOPs and EOPs to reduce human error and protect uptime
Ensure all change management activities are carried out in line with process, including review of RAMS, permits and contractor competency
Provide cover for the Data Centre Manager during periods of absence
Support a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all site, company and client QHSE requirements
Key Technical Exposure
HV/LV electrical systems, UPS, generators, ATS/STS, PDUs
Cooling systems including chillers, CRAHs, AHUs and associated controls
BMS and electrical power monitoring systems
Critical incident and change management processes
Background & Experience
Essential
Recognised electrical or mechanical qualification
Proven experience within data centre operations or other critical environments
Strong understanding of critical infrastructure systems
Experience supervising contractors or acting in a shift-lead / supervisory capacity
Confident communicator in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
Calm, structured decision-making approach, particularly during incidents
Desirable
HVAP or working towards HV authorisation
Fire marshal or first aid certification
Knowledge of permit to work systems, risk assessments and asset management tools

Additional Information
Participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota is required
Flexibility to support planned shutdowns, emergencies and holiday cover
Occasional travel to other European facilities for training may be required
