Position: Executive Officer in the Division of Community Medicine and Public Health Practice, School of Public Health (Ref.: 532196). Commencement as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Responsibilities
* Support the development and operations of the youth mental health project, focusing on evidence-based information for early detection, management, prevention of youth suicide and mental health disorders, and promotion of resilience and mental wellbeing in Hong Kong.
* Report to the Principal Investigator and team; oversee project operations and maintain close communication and liaison with stakeholders.
* Assist investigators and committees with project administration and meeting management.
* Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders including NGOs, funders, academic and research staff, government departments, community partners, social service providers, administrators, IT professionals, and others.
* Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports; manage financial and HR matters, publicity and engagement, knowledge dissemination and exchange; organize conferences; perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or above, with at least 3 years of working experience.
* Versatile in general office administration and project management; supervisory experience preferred.
* Excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua); strong organizational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; IT proficiency; ability to work independently with initiative.
* Team player capable of prioritizing multiple tasks to meet deadlines with minimal supervision; tactful in handling sensitive and confidential issues.
* Work experience in tertiary institutions would be an advantage.
Terms and Benefits
The appointee will receive a highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will include a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totaling up to 10% of basic salary.
