At Airbus Aerodynamics we are at the heart of aircraft design and the value it delivers to our customers. Our main mission is to deliver suitable aircraft design and configuration for optimum performance. As such we are fully part of the challenges of today in designing a safe aircraft meeting the highest sustainability and operational standards.
We are present throughout the full aircraft life: from the concept selection through the core design phase and onwards into supporting manufacture, flight testing and the aircraft in service. By this we ensure the best-operational and safe use of the aircraft and support our customers as required.
We are aeronautical engineers but also developers and innovators. We make use of cutting edge technologies in our tools: digital enablers are key to ensure our success.
Responsibilities Of The Job Holder
As an Aerodynamic engineer, you will be contributing directly to generating models representing aerodynamics for customers in aircraft loads, aircraft performance and handling qualities. This can involve activities from the early design stage, including application of numerical tools, update and validate design and data through wind-tunnel testing and flight-test.
The role …
- Deliver aerodynamic models and data for aircraft performance, handling qualities and loads assessments.
- Contribute to and define future aerodynamic processes and technologies to keep Airbus at the forefront of innovation.
- Collaborate across transnational project teams and disciplines to secure multi-disciplinary design solutions meeting customer requirements while delivering on time, cost and quality.
- Provide aerodynamic support to manufacturing plants and airlines.
