The Project Engineer (PE) supports the Consultant Project Director in the day-to-day coordination and execution of the projects with a specific focus on the technical coordination and issue resolution as well as ensuring planned progress on the mechanical and piping elements of the project. This role is integral to maintaining project momentum, ensuring accurate documentation, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. The PE will be embedded on-site and will assist in managing construction activities, tracking progress, unblocking technical issues, and supporting compliance with standards and procedures. The role is suited to a motivated individual with strong organisational skills and a background in construction or engineering project delivery. The PE will be from a mechanical or piping background with a focus on the substantial mechanical and piping scope on this new design form factor.
Reporting To: Project Director
Role Purpose: Support the Project Director in the design coordination, documentation, and delivery of all construction and commissioning activities
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in managing daily site activities and coordination meetings
* Maintain project documentation including RFIs, tech subs, change logs, and issue trackers
* Support preparation of reports, meeting minutes, and stakeholder updates
* Track progress against schedule and flag risks or delays
* Liaise with contractors, consultants, and teams to ensure alignment
* Support quality, safety, and compliance monitoring on site
* Daily site walks and leading by example in terms of safety standards onsite
* Key technical interface role
* Technical assessment and coordination on any modular proposals
* Quality oversight supporting the project quality manager on the piping and mechanical scopes
Deliverables: Weekly status updates, updated logs, meeting documentation
Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates to the Project Director and contribute to stakeholder communications
General Requirements:
* 5-8 years’ experience in construction or project management
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Strong technical background on mechanical and piping disciplines
* Familiarity with project platforms and reporting tools
* Language skills: English and Spanish
