An opportunity for an Environmental Officer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Albacete.
Responsibilities
The Environmental Manager is responsible for compliance with environmental obligations, monitoring and improving the environmental performance of Airbus and achieving environmental objectives.
Develop, maintain and/or improve the environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001:2015.
Identify the environmental aspects/impacts of technologies, products, services and activities with a life‑cycle perspective, manage risks and opportunities, examine environmental and social trends, and improve environmental performance through environmentally responsible technologies and ecodesign.
Participate in the definition and/or deployment of Airbus Environmental Policy, ensure environmental awareness, support internal and external audits, manage documentation, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Implement, monitor and continually improve the Airbus Environmental Management System and check compliance with the ISO 14001 standard at each site.
Comply with EMS central and national procedures and support the definition of them locally.
Ensure that environmental actions are performed in accordance with agreed procedures and tools.
Define local communication tasks, provide visibility, share best practice and align messaging with Corporate Environmental Communications.
Measure and support improvement of environmental performance;
launch awareness campaigns to employees.
Define and promote environmental objectives in agreement with all involved sectors of the site, and follow up on their implementation to improve site performance in line with corporate and local objectives.
Support environmental objectives at plant, national and central levels.
Support the local environmental roadmap established at the site.
Identify and manage risks and opportunities, including contextual environmental information, and communicate it to stakeholders at site or national representative level.
Identify internal and external stakeholders.
Manage parts of interest;
ensure that needs and expectations of interested parties, especially local authorities, are considered.
Track and manage any hazardous substances used at the site related to environmental risks.
Provide accurate consolidated environmental data and information to support Airbus environmental communication and reporting obligations.
Conduct management site reviews.
Manage environmental incidents and accidents.
Support audits for ISO 14001 and environmental regulatory requirements.
Ensure appropriate actions are in place to work continuously toward environmental compliance and evaluate this compliance.
Identify, evaluate and assess compliance with environmental regulations (European, national and local).
Manage environmental licenses and authorisations to secure Airbus licences.
Provide appropriate environmental support for various business areas operating at the site, clarifying applicable requirements and rules.
Skills
Education in a related discipline.
Experience in similar roles.
Soft skills: high adaptability to new topics, new business, and networking mode.
Advanced level in English.
