Overview
Product Manager II (Factiva) is responsible for the product strategy and overall management of the functional product development lifecycle for Factiva's general News and Business Information platforms. You will report directly to the VP of Product and be part of the Factiva Product Team, collaborating with Dow Jones Technology, Design, Data & AI and Business teams, as well as third‑party vendor partners outside of Dow Jones. It is the responsibility of the Product Manager II (Factiva) to ensure that existing product features operate as specified and that all new features are defined, specified, scoped, scheduled, delivered and communicated internally and to our client base. The product manager will independently manage the full lifecycle for larger features or product components, demonstrating strong product judgment, analytical skills and prioritization aligned with strategy. You will contribute to area strategy, build cross‑functional partnerships, influence stakeholders and bring solid domain/technical expertise. Help to define and design the product roadmap (driving significant impact on departmental results) by understanding market opportunities and the competitive landscape in the News, Tech, Data and AI worlds—anticipating future trends and opportunities. Collaborate with research, proposition, sales, design, engineering, data & AI and client service teams to ensure Product Market Fit and successful execution of product initiatives. Lead cross‑functional teams to develop, prioritize and deliver product features and enhancements. Ensure the roadmap is clearly understood by stakeholders. Be a key contributor to Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Ups and Sprint Retrospectives, ensuring priorities are adhered to and the backlog is refined to benefit Designers and Engineers. Participate in User Acceptance Testing with Engineers and Designers and ensure pre‑launch blockers are tracked, prioritized and resolved. Advocate for frequent release and feedback cycles. Champion gathering and analyzing Voice of the Customer feedback, developing deep customer understanding, identifying unmet needs and integrating these into quarterly planning. Assist with communications of new feature releases and maintenance of user guides. Work effectively with distributed Product, Engineering and Design teams. You Have
4+ years of product delivery experience, able to influence stakeholders across teams, build robust partnerships, and possess deep domain or technical expertise. Demonstrated experience solving complexity and contributing to strategy with analytical rigor (e.g., prioritization and trade-offs for complex product initiatives, aligning with strategic goals). Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban). Strong collaboration skills and ability to build high‑trust, high‑performance environments, removing blockers across teams. Exhibits strong technical acumen and can contribute to technical discussions with engineering teams; understands feasibility and makes smart product choices aligned with technology impact. Experience in scoping, budgeting, scheduling and delivering complex project implementations. Our Benefits
