Job Description
What you’ll do
We are seeking an experienced Beverage Director to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage, the Beverage Director will oversee the operations of all Food & Beverage outlets within the hotel. The role involves ensuring service quality aligns with the SLS brand, fostering a team culture that empowers members to make decisions and take responsibility for their work and professional growth.
* Manage beverage control, including inventory, bar pars, cost controls, beverage potentials, sales analysis, and handling issues & returns.
* Negotiate with suppliers and implement brand contracts.
* Manage national and international beverage and mixology events.
* Implement beverage policies and procedures across the property.
* Train outlet teams on liquor control policies and procedures.
* Monitor adherence to liquor control policies.
* Ensure service standards according to SOPs are maintained.
* Oversee beverage preparation and presentation to meet standards.
* Maintain ongoing communication across restaurants and bars.
* Ensure high quality and effective presentation of beverage products.
* Assist the Director of Food and Beverage with administrative tasks, reports, and strategic planning.
* Facilitate onboarding and training of new hires.
* Focus approximately 60% of work on operational management.
Qualifications
What we are looking for...
* Degree in Hospitality or Bars Management.
* At least 4 years of management experience in high-volume hospitality beverage operations.
* Knowledge of the local market is a plus.
We seek a proven team leader with high energy and motivation, aligned with the company's values. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. Ability to multitask, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail are essential. Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English are necessary.
