- Evaluate travel insurance applications to determine coverage and pricing
- Analyze financial, medical, and travel data to inform underwriting decisions
- Ensure underwriting activities comply with policies and guidelines for profitable growth
- Oversee issuance, renewal, and modification of policies
- Monitor claims trends and loss ratios and adjust underwriting strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with claims and actuarial teams to optimize pricing and coverage
- Provide underwriting support and guidance to brokers, agents, and partners
- Train sales teams on policy features and underwriting guidelines
- Ensure regulatory and legal compliance across markets
- Analyze market trends and competitor offerings for product improvements
- Support development of new products and underwriting strategies
- Participate in process improvement initiatives using technology and data analytics
Responsabilidades
- 3–5 years of travel insurance underwriting experience, preferably in Spain
- Strong understanding of underwriting principles, regulatory compliance, and market trends
- Ability to evaluate applications and analyze medical, financial, and travel data
- Experience in pricing models and managing policies (new, renewal, modified)
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration and training
- Results-oriented with attention to regulatory compliance and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of the Spanish insurance market;
international/pan-European experience is a plus
