**Title**:UABOS Spain: Lifeguard/Pool Attendant**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES**Monitor and attend the swimming pool facilities and activities. Teach youth swim lessons from approximately middle of June to end of July for children of active-duty military. Monitor Ph and chlorine levels in accordance with AFMAN 48-114. Take appropriate actions if PH/chlorine levels are not within acceptable limits. Maintain visibility to provide customer service, i.E., take care of the customer’s needs, maintain accountability for Government Furnished Property, monitor the facility area when in use, ensure the trash is in proper receptacles, ensure safety is adhered to by the pool patrons, identify and correct any unsafe activities by pool customers. Correct all safety deficiencies. Remove all broken or unsafe equipment from the area. Recommend to management new equipment or replacement equipment purchases, ensure the facility is cleaned properly, monitor both pool and children’s wading pool for cleanliness, identify, and report any substandard conditions. Report any building maintenance needs to the Fitness Center Manager for correction. Inspect all equipment daily; adhere to all USAF and Company policies and plans, and other duties as directed by the Fitness Center Director.**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS**:**Preferred**:1. A minimum of two years’ lifeguard experience preferred2. Experience in swim instruction highly desirable, but not mandatory**Qualifications**:1. Current Internationally/nationally (Spanish equivalent) recognized water rescuequalifications/certifications2. Current American Red Cross or Spanish equivalent Adult and Child CPR and AED training3. Current internationally/nationally recognized swim instructor certification mandatory4. Must possess English language proficiency (level C1, read, write, speak).
