Job DescriptionPIMCO plans to hire an ETF Account Manager for our Munich team, covering clients in Germany, Austria, and Eastern Europe. The successful candidate will develop and strengthen relationships with clients and prospects, including institutional clients like corporations, pension funds, insurance companies, as well as wealth managers, private banks, discretionary Portfolio Managers, financial advisors, broker-dealers, and other distribution channels.
The role involves communicating the firm’s investment outlook and portfolio strategy, reviewing investment results, and becoming a trusted advisor. A key focus will be on ETF sales and new business development, promoting PIMCO’s active ETFs across the fixed income spectrum.
The individual will promote ETF products through tailored presentations, seminars, and client meetings, staying informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity. They will identify new business opportunities and customize solutions to meet client needs.
Additionally, the role requires collaboration with the Munich team and internal stakeholders such as Portfolio Managers, Product Specialists, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and Events teams to contribute to product innovation and solutions.
With a 25-year history and approximately €50 billion in assets, PIMCO has an established presence in Germany, Austria, and Eastern Europe. Given the growth of our ETF offerings, there is significant potential to expand our active ETF business in the region.
RequirementsExperience in business development, client relationship management, or investment consulting within the German and Austrian markets.
Fluency in German and English is required.
An advanced degree in Finance, Maths, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Preference for candidates with extensive experience working with clients on active Fixed Income ETFs.
Strong interpersonal skills to develop client relationships into strategic partnerships, and the ability to collaborate internally across teams.
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or willingness to pursue it upon joining.
