We are seeking an Executive Director, Business Development, to join our Real World Evidence business development team within the Clinical Research Group of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Summary
The Executive Director, Business Development, leads a team of business development representatives to secure and retain business for PPD through professional, consultative sales activities targeting sponsors' decision-makers and influencers. The role focuses on positioning PPD as a preferred provider for outsourced work in Health Economics, Market Access, Patient-Centered Research, and Data Analytics.
This role involves mentoring staff, developing strategies, and overseeing business development initiatives with authorization goals ranging from $100 million to $500 million based on the region.
Responsibilities
* Lead business development initiatives and develop marketing strategies for growth.
* Mentor staff in generating new business and expanding existing accounts, including negotiating and closing contracts.
* Manage client relationships, ensure satisfaction, and address any issues.
* Establish strategic direction aligned with senior management goals.
* Develop interpersonal relationships to influence decision-makers within and outside the company.
Qualifications
* Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience, including 10+ years of management responsibility.
* Proven sales success in RWE, with international experience and account management skills.
* Strong network of mid- and high-level business contacts.
* Ability to manage cross-functional teams and develop sales leads.
* Expertise in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Market Access, Data Analytics, and Patient-Centered Research.
Working Conditions
