Role Overview
The Assembly Manager leads and oversees all operations in the assembly area of an automotive plant. Their mission is to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with the production plan by coordinating teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring adherence to labor and quality regulations in force in Spain and within the automotive sector.
Key responsibilities
* Plan and supervise daily activities in the assembly area to meet the production schedule.
* Ensure efficient use of personnel, machinery, and materials.
* Monitor key indicators (OEE, productivity, cycle time, downtime, scrap).
* Propose and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
* Lead, train, and evaluate supervisors, team leaders, and operators.
* Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
* Facilitate internal communication and incident resolution on the shop floor.
* Collaborate with other departments on the management of non-conformities and defect analysis.
* Promote a 5S culture, order, and cleanliness in workstations.
* Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and cost-reduction projects.
* Participate in the industrialization of new models and engineering changes.
What you bring
* Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Organization, or a related field.
* +4 years of experience in production within the automotive sector or high-volume manufacturing.
* At least 3 year managing teams in an industrial environment.
* Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing (5S, SMED, VSM, standardization).
