The Regional Key Account Manager for Madrid area will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Affinity's commercial strategy for clients in the region. You will be responsible for managing key accounts, building solid and long-term relationships to exploit the full development potential of the Petfood category, maximizing the sales of our brands.

We are looking for someone with experience in key account management, with drive and energy to exceed set objectives while acting as a Category Captain, leading the development of the Petfood category. This role requires strategic vision with strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships, a growth mindset, an entrepreneurial spirit, and ownership.


What you will do

1. Develop and execute account plans for each key client, aligned with the company's overall objectives.
2. Negotiate commercial agreements, sales conditions, promotions, and marketing plans with key accounts, seeking mutual benefit and profitability.
3. Continuously monitor commercial KPIs (sell-in/sell-out, market share, assortment share, shelf space, promotional intensity) and identify opportunities for improvement.
4. Manage full P&L of clients.
5. Act as a partner to clients to develop the category: Category Management, Perfect Store, JBPs.
6. Establish and maintain solid and trusting relationships with key contacts within assigned accounts (buyers, category managers, marketing).
7. Identify and explore new business opportunities within existing accounts to increase product penetration and range offered.
8. Present new products, innovations, and strategies persuasively to generate incremental sales and add value.
9. Collaborate with Marketing and Trade Marketing in promotional plans and POS activities.
10. Develop sales forecasts and monitor their fulfillment.
11. Work closely with departments like Logistics, Finance, and Customer Service for proper execution and satisfaction.
12. Communicate key account needs to the organization effectively.


What we are looking for

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or similar; postgraduate or Master's valued.
* Proven experience (3-5 years) in key account management in FMCG sector, with a background in Trade Marketing and Field.
* Residence: Preferably Madrid/Central Region; open to other locations like Barcelona.
* Knowledge: FMCG channel in Spain, negotiating large accounts, Trade Marketing, KPIs, Office tools.
* Key competencies: Excellent communication, negotiation, strategic thinking, relationship building, proactive, autonomous, organized, team player.
* Languages: Native or bilingual Spanish; fluent English required.
* Other: Willingness to travel; valid driving license B.
