Context And Mission
The AI Factories project is a European initiative designed to strengthen Europe's leadership in Artificial Intelligence. Its main mission is to support the development of advanced AI applications by providing access to high-performance computing resources, datasets, models, and training pipelines. This project will develop collaboration between industrial and financial actors, SMEs, universities and supercomputing centres. AI Factories are part of a broader European effort to make AI development more accessible, responsible, and impactful across sectors such as health, climate science, and technology.In the context of this project, BSC will serve as a hub where researchers, startups, and institutions can access specialized infrastructure and expertise to accelerate AI innovation. The Computer Sciences department of BSC is seeking candidates for covering the services provided to the project participants (industrial, financial or academic institutions):* By supporting and giving access to data sources, models, code bases and training pipelines, directly or through platforms developed during the AI Factories project or others such as AI-on-demand or Zenodo.* By mentoring and training on technical and scientific aspects of model development.
Key Duties
* Support access to data sources, models, code bases, and training pipelines
* Mentor and train project participants on technical and scientific aspects of model development
* Assist in the deployment, maintenance and scaling of AI models and in the usage of execution and monitoring services on HPC infrastructures
* Contribute to the technical documentation, training materials, and dissemination activities related to the project
* Ensure that the services and resources provided meet standards of quality and ethics
* Degree in STEM, preferrably MSc in Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering or similar
* Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
o Experience in a research-oriented position
o Experience in writing technical documentation
o Experience in consulting in Artificial Intelligence
* Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
o Fluent English and Spanish are a must. Catalan is desirable.
o Experience in consulting in software engineering
o Experience in consulting in MLOps
* Competences
o Ability to work in multidisciplinary environments
Additional Information
* The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department

* Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
