Connect44 seeks a Radio Optimization Engineer to join our team in Malaga on a permanent basis.
This role involves providing cross-country support and adopts a hybrid work model.
Role purpose
Initial Cell Optimisers are responsible for the production of radio plans required during the customer’s six-week delivery and decommissioning process for a cell site.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities
* The ICO creates radio data builds for sites progressing through the customer’s six-week gating procedure.
* Performs data building within the customer’s planning system, requiring comprehensive knowledge of radio architecture, especially for Nokia and Ericsson equipment.
* Creates distinct data builds for each site and technology, during plan creation, preparation, validation, and build stages.
* Submits finalized plans to vendor partners for conversion into integration scripts used during installation.
* Responsible for creating decommission plans and data builds, following similar stages as the build process.
* Creates decommissioning plans for each technology, distributing them to vendors for script conversion and network removal.
* Responds to stakeholder inquiries regarding build status, alarms, and issues, including rebuilds if necessary.
* Reports weekly on project delivery status, highlighting risks, issues, and dependencies.
Essential skills, knowledge, or experience
* Proficiency in radio planning tools, especially for the ICO role.
* Knowledge of radio parameter builds for Nokia and Ericsson sites.
* Comprehensive understanding of radio architecture to ensure correct network modifications.
* High computer literacy, including MS Office applications.
* Degree level education or equivalent is desirable.
