We are looking for a CBAM Senior Consultant with strong SAP expertise to join a high‑impact international program supporting CBAM readiness for 2026-2027.
Project Description
You will play a key role in implementing the company's CBAM compliance framework by integrating an external CBAM platform with SAP ECC/S4, improving the quality of SAP master data (HS codes, COO, traceability), and onboarding verified emissions from suppliers (Assent/UL360). The project focuses on building an audit‑ready reporting process, optimizing CBAM cost exposure, and enabling data‑driven decision making across Procurement, Logistics, Customs, Finance, Sustainability and IT.
Responsibilities
* Lead the execution of CBAM Phase 1-2: compliance foundation, data quality, and cost optimization.
* Drive SAP ECC/S4 integration with external CBAM software and broker data sources.
* Establish audit-ready controls, data lineage and EU XML reporting capabilities.
* Coordinate onboarding of verified supplier/site emissions through Assent and UL360.
* Improve SAP data governance for HS Codes, Country of Origin, batch/traceability and logistics/customs fields.
* Support dashboards and reporting for CBAM cost exposure and savings.
Requirements (Must Have)
* Proven experience in regulatory or sustainability reporting (CBAM, ETS, ESG, customs).
* Strong hands‑on expertise with SAP ECC/S4 and key data objects: HS Codes, COO, batch/lot, logistics & customs fields.
* Experience with SAP integrations and data reconciliation with customs/brokers.
* Strong background in data governance, data cleansing and audit‑ready processes.
* Solid understanding of CBAM concepts (Quantities, Specific Emissions, Benchmark, Factor, ETS price).
Nice to Have
* Experience with SAP GTS (customs, classification, trade compliance).
* Familiarity with Assent, UL360, and CBAM platform integrations.
* Knowledge of EU CBAM XML submission format and evidence retention.
* Experience transitioning from default to verified emissions at scale.
* Power BI reporting linked to SAP.
