Experteer Overview In this role you join BBVA’s global risk team to lead and coordinate risk assessments for public sector clients across geographies. You’ll monitor portfolios, rate new clients, and provide independent risk evaluations to support lending decisions. You will work with cross-functional teams, shaping risk management practices for diverse entities and complex financing facilities. Your analysis will help ensure credit quality while addressing macroeconomic and geopolitical risks. This is an opportunity to impact risk governance in a multinational, client‑facing environment.Compensaciones / Beneficios - Lead and/or coordinate complex cross-border transactions for Public Sector clients with independent risk evaluation - Perform full due diligence for client onboarding and renewals, assign internal ratings, ensure credit quality and limits - Offer guidance to other Risks teams on Public Sector issues - Build a monitoring framework for sector trends and conduct ad-hoc sector reviews for CRO/regulatory requests with risk mitigation actions - Develop relationships with senior Business Partners to support business objectives and internal client management - Identify operational improvements in Public Sector risk processes and drive efficiencies - Research macro and geopolitical factors to inform regional/global sovereign assessmentsResponsabilidades - Senior financial risk experience in a global financial services or consultancy with EM knowledge - Broad understanding of Public Sector operations of global clients including GREs - Strong credit risk analytics, macro fundamentals, and risk management for complex financings - Experience executing live transactions and making decisions under pressure - Ability to coordinate with Risk and Business teams and engage with stakeholders at multiple levels - Data gathering and analytics capabilities;
AI capabilities are a plus - Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills - English and Spanish proficiency;
