We’re looking for a
Plant Quality Engineer
to join our team in the automotive sector. As our Plant Quality Engineer, you’ll lead and coordinate quality management throughout production—from industrialization through serial output. You’ll own problem-solving, engineering changes, and customer interfaces across all models and plants.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & IndustrializationLead on-site quality issue resolution for all models, clients, and plant sites.Act as primary customer contact for quality incidents.Enforce corrective actions from cross-functional and customer reviews.Manage engineering change requests (ECRs) with client alignment.Oversee customer rejections:
lead 8D reports through to closure.Coordinate engineering-change inputs from all departments.Maintain 8D database;
analyze PPMs and cost impacts.Provide on-site customer support and maintain emergency standby availability.Process engineering changes in PAC and manage PPAP documentation to PSW approval.
Product Engineering & Quality SupportPrototype, validate, and track product trials;
manage engineering changes in series production.Collaborate with technical office to resolve plant issues.Actively engage in internal/client quality and continuous improvement meetings.Support ISO/IATF audits (internal and customer).Execute external rejection containment:
root-cause analysis, corrective actions, graphical reporting.
Compliance & Continuous ImprovementPromote company Quality & Environmental policies.Champion Core Tools:
PPAP, 8D, FMEA, SPC.Cultivate a proactive quality mindset and continuous improvement culture.
Professional ProfileEssential QualificationsDegree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.Fluent in English;
additional languages (German, French…) a plus.Solid understanding of automotive quality systems:
APQP, PPAP, 8D, FMEA, SPC.Experienced with automotive client-specific requirements.
Preferred SkillsFamiliarity with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949.
