Overview
Are you passionate about making a real impact on climate change? Bright Sunday is looking for a driven, detail-oriented Solar PV Engineer to join our team in Spain. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of our high-impact Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will work closely with our international project management team and partners, delivering top-tier, custom solar solutions.
Responsibilities
* Solar Design Analyst: Analyzing and designing cutting-edge PV systems, electrical layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications that guarantee peak performance and adhere to the highest safety standards.
* Site Scout & Strategist: Visiting sites to assess feasibility, determine optimal panel placement, and size the systems based on client energy needs and environmental factors.
* Fault Finder & Optimiser: Analyzing system performance data (on-site and remote) to identify issues, troubleshoot faults, and implement corrective actions that maximize energy output and ensure reliable operation.
* Installation Co-Pilot: Overseeing the installation process in collaboration with project managers and contractors, and officially commissioning new solar and energy storage systems.
* Future-Proofing: Researching the newest trends and technologies in solar and storage, helping continuously improve designs and processes.
* Documentation Keeper: Preparing essential technical reports and keeping all system documentation up-to-date.
Qualifications
* Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
* Core Knowledge: Experience in design, installation, and maintenance of commercial solar electric systems; strong knowledge of industry standards.
* Software Skills: Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as PVsyst and PV Sol.
* Bonus Power-Up: Experience with energy storage systems (batteries, inverters) and hybrid setups; PRL course, works on heights course, elevator platform license and drone piloting license are a plus.
* Essential Skills: Strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
* Driver's license: Category B mandatory.
* Language: Proficiency in Spanish and English is mandatory.
