We are seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer to join our Digital Engineering team at our headquarters in Madrid, Spain.
In this role, you will develop and maintain system models for innovative aerospace projects and internal digital engineering initiatives. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will translate requirements into structured architectures and behavioural models, ensuring consistency, traceability, and technical coherence across deliverables.
Beyond project execution, you will contribute to the evolution of our MBSE methodologies and digital engineering tools, supporting the transformation of how complex systems are designed and validated within the company.
Responsibilities
Model-Based Systems Engineering
* Develop and maintain system models covering architecture, behaviour, interfaces, and operational scenarios using Capella, Cameo, and SysML.
* Translate system requirements into structured and consistent models, ensuring full traceability across requirements, architecture, and behavioural elements.
* Perform functional and behavioural analyses, including modelling of failure modes and degradation scenarios at system level.
* Ensure model coherence, quality, and alignment with project objectives and applicable engineering standards.
Project Integration and Technical Collaboration
* Contribute to requirements reviews, technical workshops, and clarification sessions with internal teams and customers.
* Translate stakeholder needs into structured modelling artefacts and MBSE configurations.
* Support the delivery of technical documentation derived from system models.
Methodology Application

* Contribute to the continuous improvement of modelling practices and internal templates.
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
* 3–5 years of professional experience in Systems Engineering and/or MBSE within aerospace or other complex engineering domains.
* Practical experience developing system models using MBSE tools such as Capella, Cameo, or equivalent, and working knowledge of SysML.
* Experience translating requirements into system architecture, functional decomposition, behavioural models, and interface definitions. Understanding of requirements management and bidirectional traceability between requirements, architecture, and verification artefacts.
* Experience performing functional analysis at system level, including modelling of operational scenarios and degraded modes.
* Ability to work effectively and autonomously on defined technical work packages within multidisciplinary engineering environments, and to communicate technical concepts clearly.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to model consistency and engineering rigour.
* Professional-level English proficiency
