**Company Description**
Global Category Manager creates, implements, and owns the strategic relationship with Global/Key suppliers and senior internal stakeholders, aimed at achieving strategic objectives of Indirect Categories. The incumbent responsibilities are across organizational boundaries.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure orderliness and tidiness for own workstation and make sure to follow all regulations regarding health & safety, environment or company specific rules; inform manager/supervisor or ESH officer in case of any deviation or risk of accident/incident.
- Identify and develop global, cross-segment strategies for Production Machineries in alignment with Industrialization Department and local organizations
- Coordinate and collaborate with Industrialization Department and local procurement teams to deploy and manage the implementation of defined strategies.
- Build, lead and support strategic relationships with global/ key suppliers with principal objectives of achieving optimal cost and performance
- Conduct regular spend and supplier markets analysis, including risk management assessment of the Production Machinery category
- Support CapEx budgeting process
- Lead performance management of Integral/Key suppliers, including sustainability & social responsibility; Coordinate and support suppliers assessment and audits - with focus on Procurement requirements.
- Follow and implement corporate and procurement directives and policies
- Identify and implement savings initiative as well as continuous improvement plans in area of his responsibility.
- Embrace synergies and share best practice across different sites
- Establish a close relationship with different internal stakeholders in order to deliver the best values and improve suppliers and procurement service levels
- Support in problem resolution/crisis management
- Coordinate functionally the local buyers responsible for Production Machine/Equipment
- Is the Subject Matter Expert in his category for internal stakeholders.
- Perform other strategic and tactical tasks, if needed
**Qualifications**
- Professional experience and proven track record in strategic procurement of Production Equipment (e.g. preferable Injection Molding Machines, Medical Devices industry or similar) in an international company with a matrix organization
- Strong knowledge and business acumen in indirect production equipment, contract management and risk management
- Expertise in TCO and cost analysis
- Experience in supplier relationship management
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English; German, Spanish or Mandarin would be beneficial
- Familiarity with SAP and S2P platform (ARIBA, COUPA, etc.)
- Willingness to travel up to 20-30%
