Within the Supply Chain function sit our Planning teams. With a population of over three hundred people, these teams are a competitor-leading, purpose-built Global Hub covering a multitude of Planning areas. They share best practices in a centralized and standard way to deliver industry-leading service at best cost and the right level of inventory.

Our Global Demand Planning Team is responsible for ensuring accurate prediction of Sales across the world. This signal drives the full End-to-End Supply Chain from logistics through production and onto supplier orders. The team collaborates with markets to gather Business Intelligence to input into Machine Learning Models to create optimal forecasts. They also ensure all New Product launches are accurately reflected within the forecast.

THE ROLE

The Demand Senior Planner executes daily operational activities across the overall forecast (units and values) for a large portfolio.

Key Success Measures

* Forecast accuracy (WAPE): measures the accuracy of the weighted absolute percentage error over a 90-day period.
* Cut driven by under forecast: indicates instances where demand exceeds forecasted quantities, leading to inventory cuts.
* SPP3: evaluates bias in the 3-month forecast by measuring deviation from actual demand over three months.
* SPP1: evaluates bias in the 1-month forecast similarly.
* Bias: measures overall bias considering forecast accuracy, demand variability, and supply chain performance.

Core Responsibilities

* Input data to build demand forecasts in the o9 system for the portfolio.
* Collaborate with local Business Units to gather sales and marketing plans, resolving gaps as needed.
* Communicate effectively regarding demand-related questions or issues.
* Analyze data to identify trends and issues, escalating and planning actions accordingly.
* Monitor forecasting performance and collaborate with Data Scientists to improve models.
* Oversee incremental volume requests to ensure timely closure and correct flow into forecasts.
* Participate in weekly market meetings to review demand changes and performance, sharing updates and implementing changes.
* Review system exception messages, evaluate, and resolve as appropriate.
* Collaborate with Divisional Planners on data flow initiatives for giftsets, limited editions, and nonsaleable volumes.
* Lead PDCA cycles independently and support planners in issue resolution.
* Serve as SPOC for at least one local Business Unit, providing guidance and interfacing with Commercial teams.
* Own specific processes or systems, supporting team functionality and process improvements.
* Coach and train planners on systems and processes, supporting onboarding of new team members.
* Identify and implement process improvements within your area of responsibility.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain discipline.
* Strong command of key systems (SAP, JDA, OMP, Excel, o9) and technical experience in at least two Supply Chain Planning areas.
* Effective communication skills up to Manager level.
* Proven ability to deliver KPIs.
* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Experience implementing core processes, tools, and improvements.
* Ability to work to deadlines with attention to detail and data accuracy.
