FUNCTIONS
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Packaging Developer Junior to join our dynamic team. The position serves as a key technical resource to assist in the development and design of packaging materials that meet product specifications and consumer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Generate and execute NPD and EPD projects ensuring brand relevance.
2. Design packaging considering marketing briefs, formula requirements, factory capabilities, supply chain factors (LT, MOQ), and procurement costs.
3. Work closely with marketing.
4. Investigate packaging options and costs.
5. Collaborate with formulation and testing labs to carry out necessary tests for container-product interaction and compatibility.
6. Collaborate with Packaging Engineering to ensure proper interaction between container, product, and packaging line.
7. Manage cost estimations with Finance and Innovation Ops throughout all project phases to ensure COGS targets and achieve GM objectives.
8. Support factory first-run production if necessary.
9. Own and continuously manage all documentation related to packaging and pack use.
10. Support quality issues and understand acceptance criteria.
11. Manage and implement Design to Value projects (DTV).
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
* Basic knowledge of packaging materials and technologies.
* 1-2 years of experience in packaging development is desirable but not necessary.
* Fluent in Spanish and English.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
