SEO & ASO Director Department: Marketing Employment Type: Full Time Location: Barcelona Reporting To: Egoitz Larrea Compensation: €70,000 - €80,000 / year Description AirHelp is on a mission to make air passenger rights real — at scale, across 27 markets. We're already a category leader. But our next leap forward? It won’t be bought — it’ll be earned, search by search, ranking by ranking, app by app. We’re hiring a Director of SEO & ASO to design and lead that leap. This is your opportunity to build a world-class organic growth engine that transforms how millions of people discover, trust, and use AirHelp — without paid ads doing the heavy lifting. This role is around 50% visionary strategy, 50% hands-on execution. You’ll lead a team of in-house specialists and external language experts to unlock sustainable, high-intent, global growth. What will you deliver in your first 12-18 months: Explosive Organic Growth: Drive a 30% quarter-over-quarter increase in unpaid traffic across key web properties. Category-Defining ASO: Deliver a 25% month-over-month uplift in organic app downloads and achieve top-50 store rankings in high-volume search terms. Paid → Organic Shift: Rebalance acquisition — grow unpaid traffic by 20% while reducing paid spend dependency. Global Keyword Leadership: Add 50 high-intent keywords to page one, across 27 languages and markets. Team Uplift: Empower a team of 3 people and 7–10 freelancers to exceed performance goals and work as one unified engine. New Channel Wins: Launch innovative SEO/ASO initiatives that surface high-value, underserved growth opportunities. What will you drive: An End-to-End SEO/ASO System: Build the roadmap, define the architecture, and own the execution — from technical SEO to localized ASO. A Global Growth Lab: Guide SEO/ASO across 27 languages and markets through freelancers and in-house experts. Test, learn, and scale what works. Cross-Org Enablement: Bake organic growth into every content rollout, app release, product sprint, and market launch. Tool-Led Insights: Use GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Sensor Tower, and App Annie to turn data into growth decisions. Trend Intelligence: Read every algorithm shift and market signal before competitors do — and pivot faster. What sets you apart: Builder’s Mindset: You’ve grown organic channels from the ground up. You see opportunities where others see limitations. Global Experience: You’ve led SEO/ASO efforts across European markets and understand the nuance of language, regulation, and behavior. Operational Range: Strategic enough to design the machine. Tactical enough to tighten the screws. Performance History: Strong track record, typically gained through 7 years in SEO/ASO roles — ideally in e-commerce, consumer rights, fintech, or travel. You’ve moved real numbers.
