Marine Technician & Fleet Coordinator Helmsmen Club Ibiza
We're hiring. And we'll be direct about what we actually need.
Not a fleet manager who supervises from a distance. Not someone who delegates every problem to a third party. We need someone who gets on the boat, opens the engine hatch, and knows what they're looking at.
Who We Are
Helmsman Club is the world's first nautical ecosystem — RYA Academy, Day Charter, Club Membership, and boat management, all under one roof. Based in Marina Santa Eulalia, Ibiza. 16-boat fleet. 270 members. Growing fast.
We already work with a trusted external mechanical company for engines and major technical work. What we need is someone in-house who bridges that gap — someone with enough mechanical knowledge to handle day-to-day issues, coordinate with our mechanics intelligently, and keep the fleet running at the highest standard.
What You'll Actually Do
* Fleet maintenance — hands-on, year-round care of the fleet: seasonal checks, antifouling, cleaning systems, minor repairs, equipment upkeep
* Urgent mechanical triage — when something breaks before a charter, you assess it, fix what you can, and coordinate the right people for what you can't
* Captain coordination — you are the operational backbone;
you make sure every activity has the right captain, confirmed and briefed
* Cleaning coordination — you oversee fleet presentation standards so every boat is immaculate before every client
* Mechanic liaison — you are the main point of contact with our external mechanical partners;
you speak their language because you know the work
What We're Looking For
* Solid mechanical background — marine, automotive, or industrial (marine preferred, not mandatory)
* Comfortable working with your hands and getting into tight spaces on boats
* Organised enough to manage a schedule of captains, cleaners, and mechanics simultaneously
* Based in Ibiza, or genuinely ready to relocate
* Spanish and/or English — both are a plus
* Boating experience or passion is a big advantage

If your answer to a technical problem is always "I'll call someone" — this isn't the right role. We need someone who can be that someone.
