CoE Tax advisor
For our Global CoE Tax team, we are looking for a CoE Tax Advisor who provides support and advice regarding Direct tax (including Corporate Income Tax (CIT) topics, Withholding Tax Accounting and Tax Reporting) and Indirect tax (VAT, Intrastat, EU Sales Tax, etc.) for some of the countries where the Group has its presence.
Responsibilities:
- Support tax and accounting teams for tax advice, technical and/or process related questions regarding Direct & Indirect tax, Tax Accounting, Tax Reporting and Tax Compliance in GBS for the countries within the scope.
- Manage complex tax activities within region and/or with global impact, including Tax Audit support & steering.
- Identify process improvement needs in GBS and align with CoE / GPO organization.
- Monitor key process metrics that measure performance (e.G., dedicated ICS reviewer).
- Manage knowledge by guiding, documenting, and training process.
- Caretaker for outsourcing and first point of contact.
- Quality gate activities:
- Risk based random review of tax declarations.
- Approval of most relevant tax payments.
- Review tax declarations for complex legal entities and complex issues.
- Perform / organize trainings to further increase tax specific knowledge.
- Define additional data checks and coordinate with GPO.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Law or Finance
- Master in taxation
- 5+ years of working experience in direct & indirect taxes advisory, tax accounting & tax reporting
- Experience in the tax department of multinational companies and preferably experience in Big 4 or international tax firm. Experience in GBS centers is a plus
- Strong tax judgement & ability to quickly learn new information
- Advanced level of analytical skills and proactive attitude to drive changes or new regulation implementations
- Advanced level to explain why and the ability to influence people
- Customer & goal-oriented mind-set, competence to grasp an overview of complex matters and deduce operational activities & exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Fluent English is a must
- SAP Knowledge is plus
