We are looking for a Sr. Global Product Specialist (Allergen/Mycotoxin) to join our team in either our Camarillo, CA, New Castle, DE or Seville, Spai office! This is a full-time hybrid exempt position.*Responsibilities: *- Product and Portfolio Strategy: Assume responsibility for developing business plans and executing product development, launch, and sustaining activities and execute short term (1-3 year) and in collaboration with Sr. Manager, Integral Products to develop and execute long term (5-10 year) product strategy built upon a solid foundation of market, technical and manufacturing information; utilize sales, competitive, market share, and customer data, as well as other relevant information to develop the strategy. Contribute to the development of business plans, including pricing strategies, product portfolio optimization, operational plans, on inorganic activities, new product launches and implementation strategies.- Contribute to New Product Development as a Commercial Lead providing VOM (Voice of Market) for the Product Commercialization and Innovation Process.- Assessment of industry needs, movements, trends, government regulations, etc. and providing essential information to R&D; and appropriate sales and marketing individuals for development of appropriate diagnostic products to meet the needs of the government and food industry.- Strong leader within cross-functional teams developing the right product to fill market needs and will serve as the customer advocate interacting w/ functional partners including R&D;, Program Management, Manufacturing, Market Development, Finance, Customer Services, Quality and Regulatory Associates.- Translate commercial requirements for new products into technical specifications, which may include product validation requirements.- Determine investment needed, and total profitability assessment versus an assessment of the opportunity.- May be responsible for Project Management of internal projects from conception, R&D;, validation, manufacturing and ultimately commercialization, through the management of cross functional teams.- Actively manage the day-to-day product line activity and recommend future strategic decision and product/process/workflow improvements - this includes the short term oriented tactical management, portfolio optimization, product rationalization. This may include oversight, direction, and supervision of other Product Management employees.- This requires a deep understanding of internal and external dynamics impacting product performance and growth in the relevant product category including global demand and capacity, category trends and the competitive landscape for both functionally equivalent and in-kind products.
