We have a phenomenal opportunity available as Demand Planning & Customer Excellence Lead, a key role that will make a meaningful impact within the company. As part of the Iberia Business Unit and reporting directly to the Head of S&OP Iberia, this position offers strong exposure to senior internal partners and plays a pivotal role in shaping our end-to-end supply chain strategy.
The Demand Planning & Customer Excellence Lead is responsible for aligning demand planning processes with organizational objectives to drive optimal business performance and support the transition toward future-focused forecasting within the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) framework. The role requires the ability to constructively challenge stakeholders, influence cross-functional decision-making, and ensure agile, resilient supply chain operations that enable sustainable growth and operational excellence across Iberia.
Role Objectives
* Enhance forecast accuracy to deliver accurate and reliable forecasts that drive business decisions
* Maximize service levels to ensure that customer demand is met, while minimizing stockouts
* Minimize supply chain costs by aligning supply with demand to optimize production and minimize excess inventory
* Enhance collaboration by working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on demand planning decisions
Role Responsibilities
Forecasting
* Lead the monthly S&OP process, ensuring cross-functional alignment on demand forecasts, supply plans, and inventory targets
* Lead the build and roll-out of the Global IBP programme in IB
* Coach and mentor one demand planner and an intern, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and analytical thinking
* Drive the development and implementation of innovative demand planning strategies, ensuring the organization remains agile and responsive to market changes
* Conduct "what-if" analyses and scenario planning to prepare for market volatility and potential risks
* Communicate critical exceptions to plans, providing strategic insights and recommendations to address potential issues and mitigate risks
* Partner with supply planning, commercial category, and sales teams to successfully launch new products and renovate existing ones
* Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of 09 parameters, ensuring they align with IB and wider organizational objectives
* Work with global teams to ensure that digital capabilities are designed considering user needs and that digital tools are successfully implemented
Customer Excellence
* Collaborate with customers to identify areas of operational improvements by setting bi-yearly meetings to fulfill our common needs
* Ensure exceptional customer service levels, including Case Fill Rate and Requested Delivery Date, to drive operational efficiency
* Develop a collaborative forecasting process with key customers
Supply Chain Losses
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify the reasons for write-offs and work with other teams to implement actions to prevent future write-offs
* Develop strategies to exit inventory that is no longer needed or is obsolete, such as clearance sales, donations, or recycling

Qualifications
Hard Skills and Capabilities
* Advanced proficiency in demand planning software and tools, such as 09, SAP APO or similar systems
* Bachelor’s degree essential
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, or 5 years of overall professional experience preferably in FMCG; supply and demand planning experience is a plus
* Fluent in Spanish and English
* Strong data analysis and statistical skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, used to work with PBI reports is a plus
* Strong understanding of supply chain principles and operations, including inventory management, logistics, and distribution
