YOUR TASKS:
1. Structural analysis of light weight rotor blade components made of fiber reinforced composites using analytical or numerical methods (e.g. FEM)
2. Structural assessment of defects and deviations
3. Collaborate within a team of structural engineers and cooperate with experts of other disciplines such as aerodynamic, design, materials, loads, control or manufacturing technology
4. Designing and supporting component test
5. Take over responsibility for the structural design of both existing and newly developed rotor blades connection
YOUR PROFILE:
6. Successfully completed master’s degree in engineering (e.g. mechanical, civil or aerospace engineering, plastics technology) or comparable qualification
7. Preferably 3-5 years of relevant work experience with good knowledge of engineering mechanics
8. Good knowledge of fiber reinforced composites including related materials and processes
9. A background in defect and deviations assessment on composite structure is a big plus
10. Good knowledge of the finite element method, ideally with ANSYS as well as good programming skills (e.g. Python, APDL)
11. Preferable a basic understanding of the VDI 2230
12. Professional working proficiency in English, further language skills (German, Spanish) are an advantage
13. Structured and independent way of working
14. Excellent team skills and reliability paired with intercultural skills
