Global Medical Training Senior Manager - HQ - Spain Mission
Responsible for the Global Medical Training Strategy (focused on Global Brands), including the development, implementation, and active management of training projects aimed at increasing the competency levels of Medical & Market Access functions. The role involves transferring knowledge to other Commercial and Marketing functions while aligning with our global training governance.
This includes management development, advanced and recurrent training, and additional development programs. These are developed in close collaboration with internal and external partners to establish learning and development processes that include ongoing assessment of stakeholder needs, learning tools and resources, programs, technology, and metrics.
Core responsibilities
* Develop a comprehensive Global Medical Training strategy in collaboration with the Global Brand Team.
* Enhance internal capabilities of the Medical Affairs team (global & local) aligned with the Medical Excellence roadmap, in partnership with People & Culture.
* Implement Global Training Governance at both global and local levels.
* Establish a holistic Medical Training Strategy with clear KPIs.
* Set training objectives, define expected impacts, and evaluate implementation ROI.
* Conduct training needs assessments with Market Companies and Global functions, focusing on Medical and Market Access areas.
* Contribute to GBP in collaboration with the global brand team.
* Plan training activities aligned with learning objectives.
* Engage external suppliers/experts for planning, designing, and delivering content, adapting courses to meet objectives.
* Design training formats for maximum efficiency and effectiveness, aligned with the Global Medical Training Strategy.
* Deliver or facilitate training in collaboration with the global brand team, depending on learning objectives.
* Monitor training effectiveness using appropriate tools, identify gaps, and develop action plans for improvement.
* Audit external training sessions.
* Manage and prepare internal training sessions.
* Monitor the application of training in the workplace.
* Continuously update training content (manuals, online courses) related to products and therapeutic areas.
* Support congresses or symposia that facilitate knowledge acquisition, where appropriate.
* Provide strategic guidance and support decision-making within the Global Medical Training team.
* Collaborate with other departments such as Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, Commercial, People & Culture, Corporate, and Compliance.
* Contribute strategically to Almirall's 2030 vision.
Required education and experience
* Degree in Health Sciences.
* 8+ years of training or related experience in the biopharmaceutical or health-related industry.
* Proficiency in English.
* Solid expertise in train-the-trainer methodologies.
* Experience with training strategies, methods, and programs within the pharmaceutical or health industry.
* Up-to-date knowledge of market, customer, and technological trends.
