We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale insurance migration programme .This role will be responsible for driving programme governance, planning, coordination, and delivery oversight across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment between technology, business, and operations stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex dependencies, risks, and timelines, while providing clear visibility to senior leadership and supporting effective decision-making throughout the programme lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Governance & CoordinationDefine and manage the programme governance framework, ensuring alignment across technology, business, and operations stakeholders.Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure consistent execution across workstreams .
Planning & Delivery ControlDevelop and maintain the master delivery plan, including milestones, dependencies, and key deliverables.Monitor programme progress, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to agreed timelines and budgets .
Risk & Issue ManagementProactively identify programme risks and issues, defining mitigation strategies and ensuring resolution through structured tracking and escalation.Maintain visibility of key dependencies and potential impacts across workstreams.
Executive Reporting & Governance SupportPrepare executive reports, KPIs, and governance materials for programme leadership and steering committees.Provide clear insights and progress updates to support strategic decision-making.
Programme Tracking & Strategic AlignmentTrack the progress of business, IT, and operational initiatives to ensure alignment with programme objectives.Ensure delivery activities remain consistent with integration goals and expected outcomes .
Delivery Methodology & QualityImplement and maintain structured delivery methodologies and governance practices .Ensure quality standards and delivery processes are consistently applied across the programme.
Mandatory Skills & ExperienceProven experience leading large-scale transformation or migration programmes within banking and/or insurance environments.Strong expertise in programme governance, stakeholder management, and cross-organizational coordination .Demonstrated experience in end-to-end planning, budget control, and delivery management for complex programmes.Strong risk, issue, and dependency management capabilities in high-visibility initiatives.Excellent executive communication and reporting skills, including experience supporting Steering Committees and senior leadership .Solid understanding of insurance product migration and operational impacts, ideally within regulated environments.
Nice to HaveExperience working on insurance product migration programmes .Familiarity with large-scale system or customer migration initiatives in financial services.
