Climate change is causing deep uncertainty at all levels of society, with climate volatility reducing the security of land-based assets and posing security threats to enterprises, societies, and governments.
Mitiga is a spinoff of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, home to MareNostrum, one of Europe's most powerful supercomputers.
Our mission is to employ cutting-edge science and technology to mitigate risks from climate-driven perils across various temporal scales, from real-time forecasts to century-long projections. We also transfer risks to capital markets via catastrophe bonds to enhance climate resilience and equity.
