🆕The Doctor is responsible for the medical assessment, coordination, and oversight of international medical assistance cases. The role operates within a 24/7 coverage organization and ensures continuity of care through shift-based activity. The role is based in Madrid and integrated into a medical team of six doctors.
All medical decisions, case management activities, and communications must be conducted in compliance with internal rules and recommendations, contractual frameworks, and local and integral medical governance standards.
📌Key responsibilities
Medical Assessment & Decision-Making
- Assess patients’ medical conditions, determine the need for care, and evaluate the suitability of local medical facilities.
- Make informed decisions regarding hospitalization, treatment, repatriation, and fitness-to-fly.
- Ensure all decisions are evidence-based and compliant with internal medical guidelines and governance frameworks.
Coordination of Medical Assistance
- Act as the medical referent for operational teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant case management.
- Maintain daily collaboration with operational teams on complex or high-risk cases, providing real-time medical guidance and decision support.
- Ensure alignment with approved provider networks, operational procedures, and internal tools.
Medical Information & Documentation
- Collect, validate, and document medical information within internal systems and tools.
- Ensure data accuracy, traceability, and compliance with confidentiality and audit requirements.
Patient & Stakeholder Communication
- Provide clear and ethical medical information to patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and care pathways.
- Maintain consistent communication with providers and internal stakeholders in accordance with corporate standards and governance principles.
