The primary objective is to provide actionable insights that inform Design and Process teams about engineering and cost optimization efforts, ensuring the company’s offerings remain competitive in the global automotive market. This position is designed to develop and leverage internal expertise. /p pb Tasks: /b /pulli Build and maintain in-house competitive costing capabilities: /li /ulp Develop Competitive Costing Process and Tools. /pp Collect necessary data for Costing, using internal and external teardown information. /pp Identify cost drivers, material choices, manufacturing processes, and sourcing strategies used by competitors. /pp Maintain a database of benchmarked cost data for use in ongoing and future projects. /pulli Realize Costing assessments /li /ulp For powertrain at large, including engines, transmissions, batteries and other systems /pp Formalize detailed should costs analyses and gap analyses /pulli Collaborate and Communicate /li /ulp Coordinate with internal costing engineers to develop consistent tools and practices. /pp Work closely with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to validate benchmarking assumptions and ensure data accuracy. /pp Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings, cost differentials, and strategic recommendations for management and engineering teams. /p pb Required Knowledge Skills: /b /p pb Technical Skills /b /pulli Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or a related field /lili Minimum 7 years of experience in powertrain costing within the automotive industry /lili Experience with cost benchmarking, teardown analysis, and competitive intelligence in the automotive sector. /lili Knowledge of Costing Software, including preferably Siemens Costing SW. /lili Strong analytical skills and proficiency with cost modelling tools and techniques. /lili Ability to interpret technical and financial data from diverse sources /lili Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying complex benchmarking findings. /lili Project management experience. /lili Knowledge of the latest trends in automotive powertrain. /lili Fluency in English.
