To achieve this, we carry out rigorous selection processes that ensure it. /pp We are looking for a b Value Improvement Engineer ( /b mainly as b Electrical or Instrument Engineer) /b, whose main function will be: /p ulli Provide support to project leaders, engineering and construction teams at the identification and implementation of cost (or schedule) reduction alternatives. /lili Benchmark design against historical performance, industry norms and client’s standard designs in order to provide alternative design that MEET but not EXCEED customer requirements. /lili Facilitate value workshops and identify and qualify opportunities for process enhancement. /lili Managing communications or workshops with Clients (if required) /lili Prepare multi-discipline conceptual and definitive cost reduction proposals for Capital Projects with assistance of project technical disciplines. /lili Break down “silos”, improving communications and enable individuals to contribute to a team solution. /lili Provide recommendations which would be incorporated in corporate specifications and standards for future. /lili Translate the identified project scope and proposed alternatives into an estimate of capital expenditure costs for design, procurement and construction. /lili Identify areas of uncertainty and apply appropriate allowances. /lili In coordination with in-house department Estimation support team, collect actual and alternative cost performance. Condition and normalize data for future use, by developing metrics and benchmarking information. /lili Keep abreast of significant development in new technics and materials by close review of technical literature, contacts with contractors and attendance at professional and technical meetings. /lili Use of In-house procedure and Value Improvement database and ensure database is updated during the execution of the projects involved on. /li /ul p Skills/Qualifications: /p ulli Degree in engineering discipline /lili10-15 years of experience including at least 5 years devoted to petrochemical, refinery, chemical or power generation projects as senior specialist or project engineer. /lili Expertise: You have advanced industry expertise and a proven ability to develop a deep understanding of industry trends and strategic opportunities. /lili Be familiar with construction practices, materials and equipment.
