ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks is a smaller, independent, yet very dynamic division within the larger ArcelorMittal group. We supply the automotive sector throughout Europe with a highly automated machinery park. AMTB produce laser-welded steel sheet components that are later integrated into cars to make them lighter, stronger, and more cost-effective. We are looking for a new, driven colleague to join us.
RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS
* Assumes direct responsibility for Plant Safety, setting strategic activities to achieve zero accidents and to make this plant a reference point within AMTB in safety matters.
* Implements corporate values, policies, and commitments in the Organization, as well as supervising their implementation.
* Leads the implementation of WCM (World Class Manufacturing) as a strategic tool for eliminating all losses, ensuring the implementation of all pillars, and extending it to all areas of the company. The World class level has to be confirmed.
* Works to achieve a motivated team moving in one direction and advancing together in achieving objectives.
* Implement directives received from ArcelorMittal regarding labor prevention, economic, technical, and human resources aspects.
* Negotiates with the Works Council to reach the best agreements to maintain an optimal relationship and sufficient competitiveness.
* Sets annual objectives and personnel salaries.
* Coordinates the process of engineering and cost calculations for offers to the commercial department and subsequent industrialization.
* Coordinates the execution of the budget and monitors it throughout the year to prevent unjustified deviations.
* Processing and execution of investments.
* Ensures the profitability of operations including cost analysis, budget forecasting
* Coordinates contacts with customers and potential customers, developing a plan to maintain a smooth relationship and identify business opportunities
* Develops a close personal relationship with key decision makers and with current customers
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* Technical or higher degree preferably in Engineering.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
* Conversational fluency in English.
