Instructor Responsibility

\n

Temporary faculty members are responsible for adherence to and implementation of university and system-wide policies, preparation, delivery, conducting, proctoring, and grading lectures, office hours, assignments, quizzes, projects, midterms, and finals. All classes must be offered and meet as scheduled throughout the semester in the mode assigned (asynchronous, synchronous, in-person, or hybrid).

\n

Conditional Appointment

\n

Appointment is contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations and subject to order of assignment provisions in the collective bargaining agreement between California State University and California Faculty Association. Applicants must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.

\n

Compensation

\n

Commensurate with qualifications and experience within CSU salary range placement. The salary range for a Master’s degree holder is $5,507–$6,677 per month when teaching full time (15 WTUs). Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum.

\n

Anticipated Semester The pool is continuously open and positions are filled as needed. Appointments are temporary and may be made just before the start of the term.

\n

Fall 2026: August 19, 2026 – December 22, 2026

\n

Spring 2027: January 15, 2027 – May 26, 2027

\n

Required Qualifications

\n

Education: A Master’s degree in Information Systems and Technology or Business Administration with an emphasis in Information Systems and Technology or a closely related field.

\n

Experience

\n

Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with diverse faculty, staff, and students.

\n

At least three years of professional experience in the field.

\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

Commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level, evidenced by prior teaching experiences and evaluations.

\n

Successful undergraduate teaching experience.

\n
