We are looking for a Systems Engineer specialized in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) to join our technical team.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in administration, configuration, support, and upgrade of Red Hat systems, particularly in migrating older RHEL versions to RHEL 8.10.
You will work in mission-critical environments and collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to ensure stability, compatibility, and security throughout the upgrade and migration processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, execute, and document system upgrades/migrations from earlier RHEL versions (6.x / 7.x / 8.x) to RHEL 8.10.
* Analyze dependencies, package compatibility, and potential upgrade risks.
* Implement and maintain best practices for Red Hat system administration.
* Manage patching, repositories, and subscriptions using Red Hat Satellite or similar tools.
* Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
* Perform advanced troubleshooting and performance optimization on Linux systems.
* Automate administrative tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
* Maintain accurate technical documentation for configurations and procedures.
Technical Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration.
* Proven experience performing upgrades and migrations between RHEL versions (ideally to 8.10).
* Strong knowledge of YUM/DNF, systemd, SELinux, Kickstart, Satellite, Ansible, and Red Hat Insights.
Requirements
* EU security clearance eligible (+5 years EU-nationality)
* Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in any other European language is a plus.
* Availability to travel occasionally
