Third Party Manufacturing is a critical engine of Hero’s growth strategy — powering innovation, resilience, and speed across our entire portfolio. As our Head of Third Party Manufacturing (TPM) Procurement, you will lead the global TPM agenda, shape strategic sourcing decisions, build long term co manufacturer partnerships, and elevate Hero’s competitiveness in Better Snacking. This is a role for a bold procurement leader ready to influence Hero’s global footprint and deliver step change value.
What You'll Achieve
Build a world class, category led TPM Procurement organisation
You will lead and develop a global TPM team, setting the strategic direction, building capabilities, and embedding globally aligned ways of working.
Own and execute global TPM category strategies
You will shape and drive the category strategies for Dairy & Baby Formula, Extruded Snacks & Cereals, Bars, and Jams & Spreads — ensuring effective global rollout and strong alignment with business needs.
Shape Hero’s manufacturing footprint through buy vs make leadership
You will embed and govern the buy vs make framework, guiding strategic decisions that impact investments, sourcing models, and long term capacity planning.
Benchmark Hero against the world — and close the gap
You will lead competitor product benchmarking, identifying cost, specification, and performance gaps — and drive the actions that make our products more competitive.
Deliver total cost, cash, and carbon advantages
You will deploy TCO thinking, build should cost models, and lead fact based negotiations to secure the most competitive total delivered cost.
Unlock innovation through strategic co manufacturing partnerships
You will manage strategic co manufacturer relationships via robust SRM, capability assessments, JBP, and performance reviews — leveraging technology, formats, and know how to drive innovation inflow.
Ensure flawless New Product Introduction (NPI)
You will secure supplier readiness, the right commercial conditions, and scalable industrialisation to guarantee smooth, fast, and compliant NPIs.
Lead with transparency, governance, and analytics
You will ensure competitive supplier selection, strong contracting, and adherence to procurement governance — supported by TPM analytics, dashboards, and market intelligence.
Who You Are
Global Procurement Strategist
You bring 10+ years of procurement experience — ideally in Direct Materials or Third Party Manufacturing — and a proven track record leading global or multi country teams.
You are confident shaping category strategies, building sourcing models, and navigating complex, cross border supplier ecosystems.
Cost & Performance Architect
You excel in TCO, benchmarking, should cost modelling, and negotiation excellence, and you turn insights into hard commercial results.
You are analytical and data driven, comfortable using advanced tools like Excel, Power BI, and modelling techniques to support your decisions.
Relationship Builder & SRM Champion
You manage strategic co manufacturer relationships with structure, transparency, and long term thinking.
You collaborate naturally with Supply Chain, Operations, R&D, Quality, Finance, and Marketing.
Innovation Connector
You leverage co manufacturers’ technologies and capabilities to accelerate Hero’s innovation and bring better products to market faster.
You thrive on generating new ideas, exploring new formats, and pushing boundaries.
Linguistic & Cultural Navigator
You are fluent in English (mandatory) and ideally bring additional language skills — Spanish, French, or German — to engage effectively across Hero’s global network.
Business Athlete With a Global Mindset
You are comfortable traveling up to 30% of your time to visit co manufacturers, partners, and Hero teams worldwide.
You bring resilience, business acumen, and the ability to thrive in environments where procurement is transforming at pace.
