Position
The Group Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations across our multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction group structure. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, the Group Accountant will play a hands‑on role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing intercompany transactions, and ensuring statutory compliance across all entities. This is a varied and fast‑paced role, offering significant exposure to international accounting, transfer pricing, and group reporting.
What you’ll do
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records across multiple group entities
* Process and review journal entries, accruals, and prepayments in accordance with applicable accounting standards
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and follow‑up on outstanding items
* Perform regular bank reconciliations across all group entities and currencies
* Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion
* Record and reconcile intercompany transactions across group entities, ensuring consistency and elimination of intercompany balances
* Assist with the preparation and filing of periodic tax returns across relevant jurisdictions
* Support transfer pricing compliance by maintaining accurate inter‑company transaction records and documentation
* Assist in the preparation of schedules and supporting documentation for the annual audit
* Support the selection and implementation of the group ERP system, including data migration, testing, and process documentation
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of finance policies, procedures, and internal controls
* Provide support on ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting
What you’ll bring
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* 3–5 years of experience performing general ledger accounting functions
* Experience with a major ERP system is highly preferred
* Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Strong understanding of core accounting principles (Spanish GAAP / IFRS), financial statements, and internal control procedures
* Exceptional precision and thoroughness in managing and reviewing large datasets and financial documentation
* Proven ability to identify discrepancies, trace root causes of variances, and implement corrective actions
* Excellent time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage simultaneous deadlines during peak closing periods
