Important multinational Group is looking for a Finance Controller Manager, based in Madrid. The ideal candidate will have around 15-20 years of experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role in FP&A/ Business Controlling. Experience in a medium size multinational matrix organization. SAP knowledge is desirable. Very high English level is a must. Team management experience is a must. Workplace type: Hybrid. Availability to travel sporadically.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities:Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
* Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning cycles.
* Deliver insightful variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and drive financial performance management.
* Provide scenario modelling and business cases for commercial initiatives and investments.
Management Reporting
* Ensure accurate and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing in collaboration with Shared Service Centers.
* Prepare financial reports and presentations for local and regional management.
Compliance & Audit
* Ensure full compliance with IFRS Rules and Group Internal Guidelines
* Act as the main contact for internal and external audits, including coordination and resolution of findings.
Internal Controls
* Maintain and improve internal control frameworks.
* Ensure segregation of duties, risk assessment, and control documentation is maintained.
Cost Control & Efficiency
* Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives and operational improvements.
* Monitor working capital, particularly inventory, receivables, and payables performance.
Business Partnering
* Partner with Sales, Operations, HR, and Service teams to support business initiatives and profitability analysis.
* Provide ad hoc financial insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
Team Management
* Lead a team of controllers
* Salary package: Around 75.000 - 80.000 euros fixed salary + bonus + fringe benefits.
