The role, with an important Fintech component, is a key part of the Legal team, managing and advising on risk and legal liability for the group as a Travel Tech Company, to support our growth plans. The position involves assisting the Fintech / Insurtech Team with the setup and implementation of initiatives according to the roadmap, ensuring strategic project development.
Responsibilities include advising the Fintech / Insurtech Team on business decisions, reviewing contracts from a commercial perspective, considering the regulatory framework worldwide, providing preventive legal counsel, and monitoring legal risks within the area.
The role also involves providing legal assistance regarding the risks of new initiatives from commercial and regulatory perspectives, and monitoring new regulations and their impact on HBX activities.
Additional support includes aligning advice across Tax, Compliance, HR, IT Security, and other areas to support the Fintech / Insurtech Group.
Qualifications include strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish is desirable), strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Candidates should have previous experience as in-house counsel in a multinational company dealing with Fintech matters, or experience in a Fintech department of a law firm is valued. A law degree from a reputable institution is required, with a Master or specialization in Fintech Law being desirable. Experience in Legal Fintech is required, while experience in Data Protection is desirable.
Business-level proficiency in English is required.
