MongoDB is looking for a driven and results-oriented Renewal Specialist to join our brand new Renewals Team in the Americas region. As a founding member of the Renewal Team in this region, you will play a key role in the build out of a world class renewal experience for our MongoDB customers, delivering strong business impact to MongoDB as well.
You will be working directly with our customers to renew their MongoDB contracts owning the renewal process from 120 days prior to renewal expiration. Given this is a new team at MongoDB you will contribute to developing our renewal process and playbooks to delight customers and deliver strong renewal results.
Success in this role requires exceptional communication and Interpersonal skills, operational excellence, deal formulation and negotiation experience, a strong aptitude to learn MongoDB products and policy and solid relations with internal stakeholders. What you will be doing
As a Renewals Specialist at MongoDB, you will be responsible for managing the renewal process for our customer base, ensuring the seamless continuation of their partnerships with MongoDB and maintaining strong customer relationships. You will work closely with our sales and customer success teams to offer an outstanding customer experience, ultimately contributing to the growth and retention of our customer portfolio within your territory.
1. Renewal Management:
2. Proactively manage the end-to-end renewal process for assigned customer accounts, ultimately increasing the Renewal Rate
3. Work on upcoming renewals and engage with customers 120 days in advance to secure timely renewals
4. Prepare renewal quotes and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
5. Customer Engagement:
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their usage, needs and challenges
7. Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing insights and solutions to maximize the value they receive from MongoDB
8. Negotiation and Objection Handling:
9. Collaborate with customers to address any objections or concerns related to renewals
10. Negotiate contract terms and pricing to achieve win-win agreements
11. Data Analysis:
12. Utilize data and reporting tools to track renewal performance, forecast renewals, and identify at-risk accounts
13. Provide regular updates to the management team on renewal status and key metrics
14. Cross-functional Collaboration:
15. Work closely with the sales, customer success, and other stakeholders internally to ensure a coordinated approach to renewals
We’re looking for someone with
16. 3+ years of quota-carrying experience in a fast-paced and competitive market with a focus on closing Renewals
17. Bachelor's/Master’s degree in engineering or business
18. A proven track record of overachievement and hitting sales targets
19. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to a diverse audience, both internally and externally
20. Strong problem-solving, organization and negotiation skills
21. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple opportunities to be managed at the same time
22. Talent for building solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders
23. Driven and competitive. Possess a strong desire to be successful
24. Prior exposure to database, cloud and infrastructure technology is a plus
25. Fluent in French & English is required, plus additional languages would be an advantage
