ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced, adaptable professional to join our team as a Business Development Lead. In this role, you will own the global expansion of Torneo, Sofascore’s amateur and grassroots sports platform, one of the fastest‑growing segments of the world’s leading sports platform. You will drive growth through strategic partnerships, coordinate cross‑functional execution, and ensure the platform reaches more leagues, clubs, and players worldwide. This is a role for someone who thinks in platforms and markets, not just deals.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Own the global expansion of Torneo across key markets
* Build and scale a portfolio of partnerships with amateur leagues, federations, and clubs, turning them into recurring and structured sources of platform growth
* Act as the primary business stakeholder for platform growth initiatives, collaborating closely with Product to ensure the roadmap supports expansion goals
* Coordinate with User Acquisition and Marketing teams to drive end‑to‑end execution across the full growth lifecycle
* Design and maintain a structured operating model, including project tracking, KPI dashboards, and regular reporting to senior leadership
* Build scalable processes that allow the platform to grow without proportional increases in operational effort
* Identify market trends, uncover new opportunities, and represent Sofascore externally
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
* At least 3 years of relevant experience in business development, partnerships, or growth roles
* Strong strategic thinking with a focus on driving business growth
* Strong operational discipline, with experience in structured execution, KPI tracking, and process building
* Experience leading and developing people, combined with a hands‑on approach
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* High adaptability and the ability to learn quickly
* Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
* Willingness to travel occasionally
