Sr Inventory Placement Manager, Supply Chain Mexico

The team is in charge of our long term planning to fulfill expected demand, leveraging on our Fulfillment Centers, Inventory Placement, Inbound, and Topology Network design, among other teams involved in Amazon's Supply Chain and key stakeholders from different markets in the world.
Our inventory placement strategy is a key enabler to delight our customers with fast deliveries and optimal costs.
The Sr Manager is the local responsible for defining the strategy to optimize inventory allocation through our network to deliver the best possible speed for our customers at the best possible cost.
This role requires strong leadership, exceptional analytical and communication skills, and deep understanding of e-commerce's supply chain.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end Product management of AFN (Amazon Fulfillment Network) inventory placement in Mexico.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Operations, Tech, Finance, Product to improve placement, and optimize end-to-end Supply Chain costs.
- Audit and hold other internal teams accountable through metrics, meetings, processes (e.g. SOPs or automation) and effectively communicate with key stakeholders (including VP level).
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and track key metrics for inventory placement across all channels.
- Create and maintain dashboards for real-time monitoring of operational metrics.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership team in Mexico and Rest of World.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree
- English proficiency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience building business cases for products and features, analyzing performance.
