Overview
An opportunity for Test Prep., Realizat. & Result Analysis has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe. The position is within the Flight and Integration Test Center organization, working in the Integration Test and Analysis domain for A/C General Systems, Power Plant and Flight Control Systems.
This team is in charge of integration tests in virtual environments, laboratory and aircraft level for the above safety‑critical systems, ensuring integration at sub‑system and system levels from an end‑to‑end perspective and acting as the first customer for independent design solution assessment. The scope includes test requirements gathering and assessment to define integrated test procedures and test plans; execution of tests and final results analysis and reporting. The team also supports Flight Test campaigns when requested, performs systems monitoring through telemetry when available and conducts flight test result analysis with final reporting. Tests support covers development through certification and qualification of the systems.
Responsibilities
* Support department project coordinators and Test specialists to prepare and execute integration tests in virtual environments, at lab/rig and ground tests on the aircraft; support flight test execution and derive required reporting and data analysis.
* Support Test Specialists to prepare contributions to the Integrated Test Team forum within the scope of the activities.
* Support development, certification, qualification and production testing activities according to Test Program requirements; ensure and support appropriate IV&V strategy; monitor test progress.
* Participate in the review and optimization of Test Requests and generate derived test procedures.
* Assure and review that test means are in adequate configuration to perform the test; manage configuration and limitations of the ATAs under responsibility.
* Coordinate with the Test Framework and Instrumentation and A/C & Mission System Integration Rigs domains to define data reduction, monitoring and analysis means.
* Interface with DO, AW and certification authorities; support test activities in certification meetings; write Development/Certification/Qualification test plans and reports.
* Assist Flight Test Engineers, Test Pilots and Test Specialists in preparing Flight Test or simulator sessions; monitor telemetry, provide safety monitoring as needed and support data reduction and detailed analysis.
* Interface with Test Integrators, project coordinators, design offices and chief engineering; provide expertise to system architecture and design definition for Systems and Functions integration.
* Provide analysis and validation of test results; identify, categorize, track and analyse system misbehaviours with impact information for the designer.
* Optimize test data analysis and derived methodologies.
Qualifications
* Educated in an Aeronautical Engineering degree or a related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in testing.
* Proven experience in the following areas: A/C Tests definition, preparation and execution for General Systems, FCS and Powerplant Systems; configuration control and setup for tests; A/C tests and safety‑critical system tests for first flight; A/C prototypes testing; A/C or Systems configuration analysis and tests definition; A/C Test means and Ground Support Equipment knowledge; Test Support Systems, Flight Test Instrumentation definition and real‑time monitoring; test results analysis and reporting; FTI monitoring displays V&V and real‑time systems monitoring and analysis.
* Proactive person with strong interpersonal and communication skills; advanced level in English and Spanish.
