We are looking for an experienced, self-driven, and team-oriented Systems Engineer to strengthen our internal AI foundations platform Apollo. The goal of Apollo is to facilitate the development of LLM- and Agentic AI applications. You will work as a member of the Apollo team to further expand this internal platform. This position is based in Sant Cugat, Spain. Tasks And Responsibilities In your new role, you will be the System Engineer of Boehringer lngelheim's Apollo platform. You will design, build and support a highly available LLM and Agentic AI platform In addition to that, you will closely collaborate with the Apollo Product Owner and the architecture and engineering team members You will support different product lines of Apollo, such as the enterprise LLM API and a low-code / no-code agent development platform Moreover, you will monitor and fix platform availability and performance issues as well as implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to maximize platform availability during planned or unplanned outages Requirements Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or in a comparable scientific course of studies or bachelor's degree with practical working experience Several years of professional experience in an international IT environment Comprehensive knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes (OpenShift), and DevOps tools like Jenkins, Helm, Git Strong experience in building and maintaining API based systems Professional coding experience in Python Experience in setting up application monitoring with protocols / frameworks like Opentelemetry, Prometheus or Dynatrace Experience in a corporate IT setting (enterprise dev-ops) is beneficial Experience in the LLM / Agentic AI ecosystem and related technologies (e.G., Huggingface, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, LangChain, LiteLLM, Argilla, DeepEval, Qdrant or other vector databases) is beneficial Working experience in pharmaceuticals or similar industries is a plus Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (oral and written); German is a plus We are continuously working to design the best experience for you.
