The Role
As a Captain on the A320 family you will exercise full command of the aircraft from taxi‑out to final engine shutdown, lead the cabin crew, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and safety.
- Ensure the safety and security of crew, passengers, cargo, and aircraft at all times.
- Exercise full command of the aircraft from taxi‑out to final engine shutdown.
- Lead the flight and cabin crew, demonstrating strong decision‑making and effective crew resource management.
- Operate with efficiency and environmental responsibility in line with company fuel and sustainability policies.
- Deliver consistent on‑time performance to meet Etihad’s commitment to reliability and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5,500 total flying hours.
- Minimum 2,500 PIC hours on multi‑crew, glass cockpit.
- Minimum 1,500 PIC hours on one of the A320 family.
- Flown the A320 family within the last 12 months.
- Type rating on A320 valid for at least 2 months at time of joining.
- Unrestricted and current ICAO ATPL.
- Unrestricted and current Class1 medical.
- Current on A320.
- Unrestricted and current Class1 medical.
- Age not exceeding 59years on day of joining.
- Current TRE/TRI is an advantage.
- English language fluency (written and verbal) Level4 or higher.
- In case of hours accumulated on flights with inflight relief, 75% of the total hours shall be counted towards the required minimum.
- Glass cockpit: aircraft with an FMS coupled to APFDS.
