The Legal Counsel, as a key member of the legal team, is responsible for providing legal support throughout the lifecycle of our projects. This includes overseeing legal proceedings, supporting contract drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Legal Counsel plays an important role in guaranteeing compliance with corporate governance standards.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Legal Proceedings & Compliance:
* Preparing and overseing legal proceedings across various areas, including project development, plant operations, environmental law, commercial law (M&A), contracts, regulated sectors, and corporate matters.
* Ensuring compliance with regulations, including corporate governance, environmental laws, and industry-specific legal requirements.
* Developing and implementing internal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
Project Support & Risk Management:
* Providing legal support for national and international projects, primarily in the photovoltaic and wind energy sectors.
* Working closely with interdisciplinary teams to enhance operational efficiency and support new power plant construction projects.
* Identifying and assessing potential business risks, developing strategies to mitigate or eliminate them.
Contract Management & Negotiation:
* Leading contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiating processes to protect the company’s interests.
Regulatory & Environmental Approvals:
* Representing the company in third-party environmental approval procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance and defending corporate interests.
Decision-Making Support:
* Preparing legal analyses and documentation to support management decision-making.
* Keeping the company appraised of all relevant legal changes and developments on an ongoing basis, providing updates and analysis of their potential impacts.
Compliance & Corporate Integrity:
* Implementing and overseeing the company’s criminal compliance program, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and best practices.
* Identifying and mitigating potential criminal risks, particularly in areas such as corporate liability, corruption, fraud, and money laundering.
Your profile:
* Qualified Lawyer with master’s degree in law.
* Several years of professional experience in positions of similar responsibilities.
* Deep knowledge of regulated sectors, legislation applicable to the development of renewable energy projects, contract, commercial and administrative law.
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office skills and very good linguistic skills.
* Strong knowledge of English.
* Willingness to travel.
